Measurement we load from other companies

We load third-party measurement through Google Tag Manager, which is a container: it decides which measurement tools run on the site, and it can be changed without changing the site itself. Two run through it today, and both set cookies: Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk). Clarity also records how pages are used, including pointer movement, clicks and scrolling, so that we can see where the interface is confusing. We do not use either for advertising, and neither receives your name, email or card details. Both run under their vendors' own terms rather than ours: Clarity is a Microsoft product and exchanges an identifier with Bing. You can block both with a browser setting or an extension, and the site works normally without them.

Cookies we set ourselves

We set two cookies of our own, and neither identifies you. `odasepeti_upstream` names which of our servers answered you, so that a page and the files it needs come from the same version of the site while we are deploying a new one; it expires after an hour. `NEXT_LOCALE` remembers the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time; it lasts a year and you can clear it with the rest of this site's data.

Kept in your browser rather than in a cookie

Everything else below is stored in your browser's own local storage rather than in a cookie, stays on your device, and is removed entirely if you clear this site's data.

odasepeti_anon_id, a random value identifying this browser to our own analytics. It is not a fingerprint, contains nothing about you, and is used only by our own analytics: it is not given to Google or Microsoft. odasepeti_first_seen, whether this is a return visit. odasepeti_saved_v1 and odasepeti_recent_v1, hotels you saved or opened, so the lists survive a reload; these never leave your device unless you are signed in and ask us to sync them. odasepeti_currency_v1, the currency you chose. odasepeti_session and odasepeti_refresh, your sign-in tokens, present only when you have an account and signed in.

Turning them off

There is no consent banner on this site. Nothing here is used for advertising and we set no cookie that identifies you, so a banner would be asking permission for something we do not do. The measurement tools above can be blocked with a browser setting or an extension, and the site works normally without them. Clearing this site's data removes everything in the list above, including the items stored outside cookies.
